In a recent conversation, we caught up with Martin Stoney, Service Co-Ordinator for GGM Group Ltd, to learn how the new version of Workshop Scheduler is working on the ground. Martin oversees job booking, engineer allocation, and invoicing — using Workshop Scheduler extensively in his daily workflow. 

Martin has seen the evolution of Workshop Scheduler firsthand. “The old version wasn’t the best,” he shared candidly. The upgraded design, however, brought immediate improvements. “Visually, it’s a lot better,” he noted.

Martin was quick to point out the improvements in the user interface, especially the color-coded statuses that help him keep track of job progress and parts on order. 

“The colour codes are great — if it’s orange, I know we’re waiting on parts. It’s just easier visually.”

Martin uses the scheduler daily to book jobs, allocate engineers, invoice completed tasks and more.

Martin praised the onboarding process: “We had training documentation, some training sessions—everything was clear.” He also appreciated being part of the Early Adopter group. “It’s nice to have input. You can actually help shape the tool before it’s fully released.” 

Final Thoughts and Recommendations
When asked whether he would recommend Workshop Scheduler to others, Martin responded with enthusiasm: 

“Oh, yeah. Definitely. It’s a lot better than the old system.”
