Ibcos have been providing software to machinery dealers since 1979. Over the years, the Gold product suite has evolved to provide the best solution possible for those running agriculture, groundscare, construction and plant hire machinery businesses.
The current version of the software is available in four formats: Classic, Windows, Web Portal and Mobile Applications. The Classic and Windows applications has been in place for several years and is due for an update.
The programme to modernise Gold started in 2023 building a platform on which to develop Gold using the latest technologies, being securely accessed via a web browser and improving the user experience. The programme has been quietly progressing, creating the platform on which we can build secure, stable, useable modules.
This year, 2025, will be the first time the modernised software will be made available to customers. At that point customers will be able to use the new platform and its respective portal. In Autumn 2025, the modernised portal will be released to select customers with all modules from the current portal available, negating the need for two portals.
Some modules from the old portal will be fully modernised, starting with Jobs New View and Time Approval. This will offer better usability, a more consistent interface and smoother operation. Others will keep their original design and features but will be accessible through the new portal. The updates will be rolled out gradually. Over time, more modules – including those from the Parts Control section – will move to the new portal. All modules accessed through the new portal will benefit from improved features like global search, a new security model, notifications, favourites, and more.
This is an exciting milestone for Ibcos, presenting a unique opportunity to advance with a robust, modern platform that not only meets our customers’ current needs, but also paves the way for future innovations and enhanced features.
Of course, the success of this programme hinges on customer engagement and feedback. Since January 2025, a dedicated group of dealer representatives has been collaborating with us to validate ideas, review workflows, and offer valuable business insights into our modernisation efforts. We are deeply grateful for their invaluable support, which will continue to guide us moving forward.
