Training and Consultancy
Training and consultancy are very important to maximise the benefits of an investment in business management software. Ibcos have an experienced team of about 15 who are involved in training, consultancy and software support. Many of the team have worked in this role with Ibcos for more than 10 years so there is a real depth of experience; once again Ibcos' industry specialisation means that they have a deeper understanding of your business. There are a number of training methods used to try to meet a range of requirements, these are:
- Onsite training days - the Ibcos Trainer attends onsite and works with the customer to plan the use of the time. Some examples of a typical day could be:
- Training/implementation of a new system - Training/implementation of additional modules or functionality - Carry out system review/healthcheck to develop a training action plan - Training after a system review to improve system utilisation - Consultancy in best practice - process and profit improvement - Consultancy in Management Accounting
- Remote training - the Ibcos trainer stays in the office and contacts the customer by phone, links up to the system over the Internet and then carries out training remotely. These sessions are normally a maximum of half a day as the process is quite intense. Some examples of a typical session could be:
- Training in a specific module as part of preparation for a new system - Top up training in a specific module - Follow up session from implementation of a new module - General training, less than a full day required
- Ibcos office training days - the Ibcos trainer stays in the office and the customer comes to Ibcos. There can be a benefit in being away from the distractions of the day to day business. The training is often carried out by remotely accessing the customers own system. Some examples of a typical day could be:
- Looking at better management reporting - KPI's etc - Consultancy in Management Accounting - Initial training for implementing a big new project - planning stage - Normal training - without distractions
- Joint manufacturer hosted training days - the Ibcos trainer attends the training school of the specific manufacturer and provides a classroom based training course with contents approved/agreed with the respective manufacturer and their dealers. Some benefits and attributes of these programs are:
- Classroom based with up to 15 delegates - more cost effective than individual one-on-one training - Linking together business skills with software training - linking the "Why" and the "How" - Can involve hands-on sessions - linking the theoretical teaching with the practical experience - Typically aimed at specific after sales departments, Parts or Service, and then with levels or specifics - Training specifically on interfaces with the specific manufacturer
The aim of all Ibcos training and consultancy is to maximise the benefit of the Gold System to the delegates, working towards using the system to enhance profitability.
