Workshop Scheduler / Diary

The Workshop Scheduler is an optional “plug-in” to the Workshop module: it can be operated independently of or in conjunction with the Workshop Mobile devices. It is a graphical diary that is used to record the available working time for each engineer on each day and to allocate that time to outstanding jobs. It also tracks the volume (in hours) of Workshop Jobs for every status; this is very powerful in managing backlogs and lead times. The scheduler offers complete flexibility to move/reschedule jobs between engineers/available days using the mouse or keyboard. The jobs are colour coded so you can see at a glance which have been started, allocated, completed or flagged for follow up.

Full job details can be viewed from within the scheduler and job instructions/job cards printed. The Scheduler is also fully integrated with the Parts module so it can show the jobs awaiting parts or those with parts available.

Key features are:

• The initial view displays the current month with the number of available hours and booked hours for each day – this is displayed like a fuel gauge
• There is a warning banner for over-running jobs; comparing the actual time taken to the flat rate hours on the job
• One click on a specific day opens a detailed view which shows the jobs and technicians time allocated for that day
• The filtering system allows the creation and saving of custom views. For example the jobs waiting for parts, or in a specific geographic area and much more. These filters are user defined and are key to successful use of the Scheduler module
• Export a full job schedule for a selected date range to Excel, including information such as job number, engineer, estimated hours and current job status. Ideal when you are away from the office, for example weekend call outs etc
