At Ibcos we are continually investing in further development of our software and all development is controlled in-house. This gives Ibcos full control and the ability to make changes and enhancements without dependence upon a third party. Most development ideas come from conversations with existing customers, user group meetings, potential new customers, manufacturers or wider trends within the IT industry. Industry specialisation often means that ideas fit together in a way that would never be apparent in a broader customer base; the result is that the future enhancements have a broad appeal due to the similarity of customers' businesses. Ibcos' direct control of the software also means that changes can be made rapidly when there are compelling reasons; this is not typical of generic accounting software. The Directors of Ibcos Computers are heavily involved in the day to day running of the business and are readily available to talk with customers - Ibcos are small enough to care. Ibcos are also big enough to cope, with a staff of about 50, Ibcos have the resource to manage bigger projects.
