Ibcos have offered a wide range of Internet Services since the internet and e-mail became common place in the 1990’s. This started with dial-up modems which progressed to ISDN technology through to ADSL and now moving towards 21CN which will ultimately become fibre based connectivity. As well as a full range of ADSL (broadband) services to suit every type of business, Ibcos offer services for web hosting, domain hosting and e-mail solutions. All Ibcos internet services are supported in-house. The sections below contain a brief outline of these services; please contact us for further details.

ADSL Internet

Ibcos offer three levels of ADSL services for businesses. The Ibcos Office 1 service has download speeds up to 8Mbps, upload speeds up to 448Kbps and a download limit of 50GB per month, whilst Ibcos Office 2 has an increased download limit of 100GB per month. The highest level has increased upload speeds up to 832Kbps, priority packets and a 200GB per month download limit. All Ibcos ADSL services have multiple static IP addresses. Ibcos provide a rental service on the ADSL routers so that in the event of line problems or hardware failure they can be swapped without delay at Ibcos’ expense.

VPN Depot Links

Ibcos developed their first in-house ADSL based VPN (Virtual Private Network) solution for linking depots to their head office in 2002. At that time this solution was unique as it gave the ability to link depots that had ADSL with depots using ISDN; a truly hybrid service. This commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology has remained and the solution has been continually developed. The current VPN system links several hundred outlets using ADSL and is secure, reliable and stable. The smaller depots have one ADSL service and an “Ibcos VPN box” which handles all the data traffic for Gold, web browsing and e-mail: larger depots usually have two ADSL services, one uniquely for Gold data and the other for web browsing and e-mails. This split of data traffic is to maximise the speed of the Gold system at the depot. The product range also includes IBTUNNEL, this is a piece of software that can be installed to provide secure remote access to Gold and e-mails etc, this is ideal for sales people and remote working. The ADSL used for the VPN connections is a high quality business service with fast upload speeds up to 832Kbps and priority packets. Ibcos provide a rental service on the ADSL routers and Ibcos VPN boxes so that in the event of line problems or hardware failure they can be replaced, without delay, and at Ibcos’ expense.

Web Hosting and E-mail Solutions

We have a range of web hosting packages to suit all requirements; simple domain hosting for e-mail only to full blown multiple web shops on either Linux or Windows hosting platforms. Contact us to discuss your requirements and we will quote for a suitable package. E-mail solutions can vary from web based individual POP3 mailboxes to a full internal Ibcos Central Mail Server solution. An enhanced collaborative workspace environment is in development for release in 2011; this will enable access to e-mail and a full collaborative diary through Outlook, a Web Portal and Smart phones (Blackberry, iPhone, Android, etc.). This workspace will be hosted on a Linux Server, at your own premises, and have full back-up and recovery systems to avoid loss of e-mail files if a PC or Notebook fails. Once again, Ibcos offer a range of products to suit individual budgets and requirements.

New and Used Wholegoods Database Website

In 2010 Ibcos developed a Wholegoods/Vehicle website that automatically synchronises with the Gold system. This used equipment database is online and can be linked to your existing website or be embedded within a new website. The database pulls together the equipment into web groups (tractors, combines, telehandlers, balers, etc.). Once a group has been selected the whole range available is displayed in a list with key information, a thumbnail picture, model, make, power, year, hours, condition, price etc. The list can be sorted into any order by clicking on the column headings e.g. make, model, price, etc. Filters can also be applied to find specific items, e.g. less than 1000 hours and up to £50,000. Multiple images stored in Gold can be automatically uploaded for each item. To enquire on the full details for each item you drill down through the list and a page is displayed showing full details of the individual item with the correct depot contact information; a print option is also available for each individual item. When items are sold in Gold the website is automatically updated to remove the items from sale. The integration with the core system takes away most of the repeated data entry normally associated with actively promoting equipment on the web.

Tractortrader Web Integration

Ibcos has also teamed up with Tractortrader to enable you to advertise, or buy, your machinery with the minimum of effort. Tractor Trader’s motto of “List It, Sell It, Buy It” couldn’t be more accurate or easy to achieve. During 2010 we have been working together to write the necessary links between Ibcos Gold and the Tractortrader Website (www.tractortrader.co.uk). Once your machines are loaded into Ibcos Gold they can be automatically transferred into Tractortrader; complete with all the machine data, pricing and up to 8 photographs. Any items sold are automatically removed from the website. You enter the machine once into Ibcos Gold, as you would normally, and the software does the rest for you. This means no double keying of information and reduces the risk of mistakes to an absolute minimum. As a Dealer you can also configure your own website to receive automatic uploads from Tractortrader through the Ibcos Gold Software. The Tractortrader website has many other enhanced features to allow e-mailing of equipment details to newspapers for adverts and much more. Template Website Design

Ibcos also offers a website design service for Machinery Dealerships. These are template based sites but offer excellent functionality at very reasonable prices. The colour scheme of the site is changed individually to match your branding (usually your main franchise). Optionally this can have full integration with the new/used equipment database.
