Workshop Barcode Time ClockRegular and accurate entry of technician’s labour time is paramount. This can be done by manual entry of timesheets, terminal based “real time” labour entry or by Ibcos’ Barcode Time Clock entry. This barcode method has become very popular and is now in use by around 1,000 technicians. By scanning a barcode the job number, date, start/stop time and the technician are automatically recorded thus reducing possible errors. The barcode scanners are uniquely coded to each technician and are easily portable, being small. A choice of scanners is available in a range of prices. All these details are stored in the system for future information and reporting. A timesheet report can be printed to show a detailed list of all the activity of a technician in chronological order.
